Half and Half Nails
« Back to Glossary Index
Half and half nails, also known as Lindsay’s nails, is a condition where the nails have two distinct colors or appearance. Typically, the bottom half of the nail appears white or pink, while the top half looks brown, gray, or sometimes even green. This creates a noticeable line or band across the nail. Half and half nails can be a sign of various underlying health conditions, such as kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, or malnutrition. It is advisable to consult a medical professional for proper diagnosis and treatment if you have this condition.
